so. usual breakfast. you know it. oats are great for vegos. and oj and vitamins.

had to eat some m&ms. doing some job application work that i hated.
and these. for the same reason.

lunch was some bread and butter with some pasta and an olivey-red-pesto-eu sauce. looked a bit oily. but i was in a bit of a rush. still no excuse, but it tasted good.

then some delicious rice-paper vegie rolls from the vegetarian place in bank arcade. they have crushed peanuts in them. pricey, but worth it.

it was my good friend amanda's birthday. look what her mum made!!
cake with 4 layers with caramel (and jam) in between.


then later, after basketball, i had the yummy dahl that i had two nights ago. with some plain yoghurt (sorry, no picture, but you can just scroll down).
then this icecream. i had forgotten about the cake when i made it. otherwise i wouldn't have. but hey - can't waste it...

i played a full game of basketball today for my exercise. it was great fun as usual, and i am relieved to be back exercising again. now for the stupid physio exercises...

Finally. Not such a bad day. I realised that over the last 2 weeks i have pigged out on mini magnuns, lindt balls, cupcakes and gingerbread men and this might be the likely cause of my half kg weight gain. which will be addressed. anyway. the only thing i forgot to take a photo of was a square of dark chilli chocolate. oh, and oj and fish oil.
started the day with my favourite smoothie - low fat soy milk and low-fat yoghurt, frozen raspberries and hot chocolate powder.
then followed by oats, apples, sultanas, cinnamon, nuts and maple syrup:



multi grain bread with butter and pumpkin/sweet potato soup for lunch...

some nuts:

vegies and pasta and parmesan cheese. this didn't work out so well for me because it was probably too much and it made my stomach all puffy and sore.

these jellybeans are darrell lea. ok, but not the glucose ones from the chemist which taste delicious.

no exercise again today! can't remember the last time i had 2 days off in a row when i wasn't sick! but very busy with the job-hunting etc this week. it's a temporary blip that is unlikely to be repeated. phew. basketball tomorrow.

tuesday

i'm pretty busy this week. your regular service may have to be interupted. not that i'm sure anyone reads this blog anyway.
i've found a group of cool health/food/fitness blogs that appeal to me - vegetarians trying to eat properly, and happily, and exercising to look after their body and achieve individual goals. here are some:

i think the appealing thing about their blogs that mine doesn't have is that they are consistently successful at avoiding pigouts! i still have some work to do. behold today's gingerbread consumption:


yes there was an am gingerbread pigout, and a pm one.
other junk wasn't too bad, just a mini packet of fruit tingles and a square of chilli chocolate.
breakfast was my usual apple and oatmeal (plus sultanas, nuts and maple syrup). for lunch i made a delicious pumpkin/sweet potato soup. and for tea, a spicy dahl from my indian vegetarian cookbook.
also lots of multigrain bread, and probably too much butter.


and no exercise - arghh. i was near knocklofty reserve today, and had planned a walk (would have loved a run but - knee issues - cannot run 2 days in a row). it didn't happen due to time constraints. like i said, this week is tight - these are the busiest 2 days i have had since i commenced my "leave". i am trying not to be concerned as things will return to normal on friday. still a bit scary though....

Ack no time today - sorry, not much time for pretty pictures. you've seen it all before, anyway:
oatmeal, sushi, icecream, fruit tingles, oj and 100 000 fish oil tablets, low fat oven baked potato chips, and pasta with red capsicum sauce. there was a gingerbread man thrown in there too. They're called ABC gingerbread men (Already Been Chewed but they haven't., it's just the cutters). I only had one, but at least the equivalent of 2 or 3 in mixture too!
Exercise was a run along the Alum Cliffs track. it was a beautiful day for it.

breakfast was oatmeal (made from soy milk and water) with a tb of coconut, some raspberries, vanilla, brown sugar, and chopped pecans on top. sounds better than it was, but it was ok.



most days, there are jamie's vegemite toast crusts. i don't have to keep taking pictures of these do i? same with the oj and fish oil/assorted vitamins. just assume.

rob and i shared a footlong subway veggie delite for lunch.

later i had a smoothie made from soy milk, frozen raspberries, soy milk and chocolate powder. the main problem with these is they make me feel cold!

some nuts, the end of a bottle of wine before tea. then red capsicum pasta which is reeeallly yummy.



and finally, the last stupid lindt ball!

exercise today was the skyline track again. my knees are feeling better, and i really wanted to go for a run too, but it never happened. kids n stuff. done my physio exercises for the first time in 4 days though!
